How to Remove Chapstick from Clothing

Steps for Removing Chapstick Stains
- Dab with a soft cloth saturated with rubbing alcohol. Put gentle pressure on the stain and do not rub.
- Launder with cold water and detergent. Check the stain again. If it is still visible, repeat the rubbing alcohol step above.
- Treat the area with a pre-treatment product like Spray ‘n Wash. Allow it to soak for 5 – 10 minutes.
- Launder again with hot water. Before drying the clothing, check the stains to make sure they are completely gone.
If the stain is still visible, try repeating the above steps but add a few drops of ammonia to the wash water.
Tips for Preventing Chapstick Stains
- Apply chapstick to lips before getting dressed.
- Make sure the lid of your chapstick is properly secured.
- Carry chapstick in a pocket or purse, not in a pocket of clothing
