Getting Ink Out of Clothes
Getting ink out of clothes can be a tricky business. While there are many different types of ink, they can generally be removed using a few simple methods.
Things You’ll Need:
- Rubbing alcohol
- A Cotton Pad
- Dish Soap
- Cold Water
- Dab the ink stain with rubbing alcohol. Allow to sit for about 5 minutes.
- Take a cotton pad and soak it in the rubbing alcohol. Dab the stained area gently. Do not scrub the area, as this may cause the stain to spread.
- Mix up a small amount of dish soap and cold water. Dip a clean cloth in the solution and blot the stained area. Rinse thoroughly with cold water.
- Repeat steps 1-3 until the ink is no longer visible. Once the ink is gone, machine wash the garment as usual.
Following these simple steps can help you get ink out of clothes and save your favorite garments from permanent staining. Be sure to check clothing labels for specific care instructions before attempting to remove the stain.
